Want to keep up with the most anticipated teen books coming out this month? This post is the very first in our new series at the Wichita Public Library to help you discover the newest titles to hit the shelves. And who doesn't love new books? Keep these on your TBR list for December:

  1. Here's to Us by Becky Albertalli and Adam Silvera (12/28/21)
GUYS!!! Seriously, who didn’t LOVE What If It's Us (2018) by Albertalli and Silvera? Again, we get both Ben's and Arthur's perspectives along with witty banter and chemistry. I know, I know – not everyone liked the ending of What If It's Us, so definitely read Here's to Us to find out what happens to Ben and Arthur!
  2. The Righteous by Renée Ahdieh (12/07/21)
The third book in The Beautiful vampire series by Ahdieh follows Pippa and Arjun into the dangerous Otherworld. You'll love the rich, atmospheric fantasy world and will be eagerly awaiting the finale in this quartet series. If you haven't read the series yet, start with The Beautiful #1 and The Beautiful #2: The Damned.
  3. The Big Reveal by Jen Larsen (12/07/21)
Addie is fierce, fat, and a talented dancer so she is over the moon when she gets accepted into a prestigious dance academy summer program. But... she can't afford to go after losing out on a scholarship. So, why not put on a burlesque show with your BFFs to earn money? A body positive book reminiscent of Julie Murphy's Dumplin'.
  4. Fools in Love: Fresh Twists on Romantic Tales edited by Ashley Herring Blake (12/07/21)
This collection of 15 short stories has something for everyone. Familiar romantic storylines are given a fresh twist with plenty of inclusivity. Publisher's Weekly calls it "fun and frothy... a candy box of romantic stories boasting joyful, satisfying conclusions" (11/01/2021).
  5. Camelot Rising #3: The Excalibur Curse by Kiersten White (12/07/21)
Are you ready to complete the Camelot Rising trilogy especially after that cliffhanger ending of Camelot Rising #2: The Camelot Betrayal (2020)? In the third and final book, The Excalibur Curse, Guinevere continues this female-led Arthurian tale while dealing with her own issues of identity and individuality. Start with Camelot Rising #1: The Guinevere Deception.
