LinkedIn Learning

Taking college classes or getting help from private tutors to improve your skills can be expensive and difficult to plan. Trying to figure it out on your own can be just as challenging. But we have a great solution for you: LinkedIn Learning!

Formerly known as Lynda.com, LinkedIn Learning is an online learning platform that lets you learn at your own pace, where you want and when you want. With more than 16,000 online courses to choose from, you can develop your business, technology, creative skills and more.

Advantages of Using LinkedIn Learning

  • With your library card, you can take as many courses as you want. You don't pay for courses because your library pays for a subscription.
  • Content on LinkedIn Learning is curated by experts, so you can trust that it is high-quality and accurate.
  • The site is easy to use and gives you different ways to learn – watch, read, listen, and do.
  • You can learn at your own pace. Push through a 4-hour course in one sitting, watch 15 minutes a day, whatever works best for you. You can even speed up or slow down the video playback speed.
  • If you don't want to be tied to a computer, you can learn on the go (or comfortably from your couch) by downloading the LinkedIn Learning mobile app.

Get Started with LinkedIn Learning

If you don't already have one, you'll need to get a Wichita Public Library card.

You will need your library card number and PIN/password to log in to LinkedIn Learning.

Your first time you sign in, the site will ask you a couple questions about what skills you'd like to learn. This helps it generate some course recommendations to set you on the path to achieve your goals.
