Chromebooks, Laptops & Internet Bundles

The Library has two ways you can check out an internet-equipped computer:

An internet bundle is a Chromebook with a mobile hotspot

Internet Bundles

To check out an internet bundle, you must have an adult library card in good standing. E-cards cannot be used to check out an internet bundle. Internet bundles are funded by the federal Emergency Connectivity Fund (ECF) Program. The equipment and services funded by the ECF can only be provided to patrons who do not have access to equipment or services sufficient to access the internet. At checkout, borrowers will need to attest that they either lack or have insufficient access to the internet or connected devices.

Internet Bundle Checkout Details

  • Internet bundles can be checked out for up to 28 days at a time, with a limit of one device per library card. Internet bundles can be placed on hold and may be renewed up to 2 times if no one is on the waiting list.
  • Borrowers will need to attest that they either lack or have insufficient access to the internet or connected devices at checkout.

Files stored on these devices are automatically deleted when the device is powered off or the session is ended. We strongly recommend using a USB flash drive or cloud storage like Google Drive, OneDrive, or Dropbox to store your files.
