Our own Children's Librarian Carol Kotch was honored with the Good Apple Award!
Ms. Carol (how most Library visitors know her) received her award Monday, December 7 at Isely Traditional Magnet Elementary School. The Good Apple Award program allows schools and administrative support centers to recognize employees, volunteers and school partners who provide exemplary service to the district and its students. Principals and selection committees review nominations and select only three award recipients for their buildings who are recognized as special ceremonies twice a year.
Ms. Carol was recognized for her work she does for Cloud Elementary in District Six:
"With a humble heart, Carol Kotsch has served Wichita families and children for over 20 years in the Catholic School and Wichita Public Libraries. She provides books for Cloud students, and promotes reading through summer reading club. Cloud Elementary is lucky to have her as volunteer!"
