Sometime in Summer is a novel by Katrina Leno released in 2022. The book follows the story of a young girl named Anna whose parents have recently divorced. Desperate for her family to be whole again, Anna wishes upon the Kit Hale meteor shower for her parents to fall in love once more, after an old fisherman tells her to wish on every meteor.

While on summer vacation in a small town on the East Coast, Anna is startled to find herself suddenly transported back in time to the summer when her parents first met, and the last time the Kit Hale meteor shower fell. As she watches her parents fall in love, Anna begins to understand the complexities of relationships and the importance of communication and forgiveness.

During her journey through the past, Anna learns valuable lessons about love, family, and the power of wishes. Will Anna be able to help her parents fall in love again in the future? Sometime in Summer is a heartwarming and emotional tale that explores the complexities of love and the strength of family bonds.

I thought this was an amazing book and really enjoyed getting to read it ahead of time as part of the Wichita Public Library Teen Advisory Board.
